Stoppt den JNF – Kein Landraub in Silwan, in Ost-Jerusalem, in Al Arakib, im Jordantal, im Naqab

Unter diesem Motto stand eine Protestveranstaltung gegen die strategische Partnerschaft der Kongressorganisatoren des 3. Israelkongress mit dem Jüdischen Nationalfonds (JNF) am 10. November 2013 im BCC in Berlin-Mitte, zu der die Jüdische Stimme für gerechten Frieden in Nahost (EJJP – Germany) aufgerufen hatte.

80 – 100 Menschen waren diesem Aufruf der Jüdischen Stimme gefolgt und zeigten auf zahlreichen Postern, Transparenten und Flugblättern, was die vermeintlich „grüne“ Politik des JNF für die einheimische palästinensische, nicht-jüdische Bevölkerung in Israel und den besetzten palästinensischen Gebieten bedeutet: Landraub, ethnische Säuberung, Apartheid.

Auf Arabisch, Deutsch, Englisch und Hebräisch forderten die Demonstrant_innen „Stoppt den JNF, stoppt den Landraub in Ostjerusalem, in Silwan, im Jordantal, in Al Arakib, im Naqab.

Efi Stenzler, World-Chairman des JNF musste zur Kenntnis nehmen, dass die Machenschaften des JNF auch hierzulande von immer mehr Menschen durchschaut werden. Seine Beschwichtigungsversuche bei den Protestierenden scheiterten kläglich, als er mit Menschen konfrontiert wurde, die mit der Politik des JNF in Palästina / Israel nicht nur bestens vertraut, sondern von deren Auswirkungen auch nachhaltig betroffen sind.

Im Vorfeld dieses Kongresses hatten zahlreiche Organisationen weltweit in einem offenen Brief die Vorsitzenden der parteinahen Stiftungen sowie der Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung aufgefordert, ihre Unterstützung für den 3. Israelkongress zurückzuziehen.

Neben der Ablehnung der Politik des JNF wurde auf zahlreichen Postern auch die volle Umsetzung der EU Leitlinien gefordert, die am 1. Januar 2014 in Kraft treten, sowie die Freilassung aller palästinensischen Inhaftierten aus den israelischen Gefängnissen.

This was the title of a call of the Jewish Voice for a Just Peace in the Middle East (EJJP – Germany) against the “strategic partnership” of the Congress organizers with the Jewish National Fund (JNF) at the 3rd Israel Congress on 10 November 2013 in the BCC in Berlin-Mitte.

80-100 protesters followed the call of the Jewish Voice and made clear on numerous posters, banners and leaflets, what the so called “green” policy of the JNF means for the indigenous Palestinian non-Jewish population in Israel and the occupied Palestinian Territories: Land robbery, ethnic cleansing, and apartheid.

In Arabic, German, English and Hebrew, the protestors demanded “Stop the JNF; stop the Land robbery in East Jerusalem, in Silwan, in the Jordan Valley, in Al Arakib, in the Naqab.

Efi Stenzler, World Chairman of the JNF had to take note that the machinations of the JNF are known even here by more and more people. His attempts to appease the protesters by his point of view miserably failed when confronted with people who are not only familiar with the policy of the JNF in Israel / Palestine but also deeply affected.

Ahead of this Congress the chairmen of the party-affiliated foundations, and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation were asked in an open letter – supported by organisations worldwide – to withdraw their support of the 3rd Israel Congress.

In addition to the rejection of the JNF policy, the full implementation of the EU guidelines, which will come into force on January 1st, 2014 has also been demanded as well as the release of all Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.
